WHAT'S NEW?

Check out our  News & Events   page to learn more of where you can see us when we are out and about.

Our Forum is currently undergoing an overhaul. if you are not yet a member then joining is quick and easy, and best of all free.
There you can meet those who work 'hands on' with our dogs, those who fund raise and those who just offer us their support, as and when they can, and those who just like a good chat with other dog lovers.
We have sections to show us your pictures, and share your doggy news. There are areas for fund-raising ideas and chatter, for news stories, and even a place for us to have a general chatter and to share a smile or too. The latest new area is a swap shop where you can buy, sell or exchange.
Everyone is welcome and we would love to see you there.

Pippin is now out of kennels and in foster care where she is proving to be a delight.

We here at Last Resort Dog Rescue would like to express our horror and disgust at the recent news regarding the deaths of Police Dogs left to cook in cars, but also to state we are equally appalled by the many other dog deaths that occur for the same reason and are not always so well highlighted in the press.

Therefore we here at LRDR express our unreserved support of the 'Don't Cook Your Dog Campaign'.

Spearheaded by by Beverley Cuddy and Dogs Today Magazine, the campaign has grown amazingly and has gained the support of Antony Worrall Thompson, Jilly Cooper, The Blue Cross, the Kennel Club and many more.

We urge you to go to the  'Cold Wet Nose Blog' and learn more.
There are stickers and posters available for you to display, and there are also button badges, bags and much more to enable you to display the message.
REMEMBER
NEVER leave your dog in a car if the weather is warm.
Open windows and sun shields are not enough.

Under the animal welfare act you have a legal responsibility for your dog.

Always make sure you walk only at cooler times of day and always carry water with.

LRDR will seek to remove, under the terms of the LRDR adoption agreement, any one of our re-homed dogs, which is found to have been made to suffer from being left in a hot car!
